NH & MA Joint DWI Task Force
According to a joint press conference held Thursday by the New Hampshire State Police and Massachusetts State Police, holiday travelers can expect an increase in law enforcement patrols this weekend. Marked and unmarked police vehicles will patrol the state highways looking for aggressive driving, speeding, and DUI impaired driving. According to a news article in the ExeterPatch, NH State Police Major Russell Conte said, “We aren’t here to ruin anybody’s day.” According to the same source, Massachusetts State Police Major Edward Amodeo commented, “We’re here to save lives. That’s why we have a presence on Memorial Day weekend, that’s why we increase patrols and why we conduct sobriety checkpoints.” Before heading out to celebrate Memorial Day, please make certain you have a sober ride home if you’re planning to drink.
